Social media is an essential vehicle for creating awareness and community, and a way to harness interest in an organization’s mission. My social media management and content creation work spans multiple influential organizations in fields like health, politics, education, and the arts. More specific skills and services include:

BRANDING & GRAPHIC DESIGN: Ensuring that the graphics, community engagement, and promotional efforts for each organization align with the brand aesthetically and in terms of values and voice.

CAMPAIGNING: I spearheaded the roll out of Body Politic’s #VoicesoftheVirus and #CovidPatientAlly campaigns on Instagram to increase membership in their Long Covid support group for patients, family, friends, and caregivers.

WRITING: I have written captivating copy for social media, websites, and email campaigns to drive enrollment, support group membership, and listener engagement.

In 2020 I created my own podcast WhitmanSoWhite! to amplify the voices of my fellow BIPOC peers at our predominantly white institution. Through this experience I was able to cultivate the skills to run a successful podcast in addition to editing podcasts for other creators. From my work on the Union Bulletin, I have also gained experience editing longer form written content.

PRODUCING: In the behind-the-scenes of creative or journalistic projects, I have overseen all stages of the production process for podcast creation. Examples of my work include finding interviews and sources, administrative tasks, and publishing work on various platforms, among other tasks.

EDITING: With a background in creating both audio and written content I have experience with editing interview recordings, music introductions, and an assortment of journalistic writing.

WRITING: Over the course of my experience in journalism with The Union Bulletin, Body Politic, The Whitman Wire, and WhitmanSoWhite! I have written articles, scripts, transcripts, summaries, and captions, among other content.
